Dominicans living in the Bronx flocked to polling sites throughout the borough Friday to vote for their native country?s next president.
The incumbent candidate, Dr. Leonel Fernandez, is among seven politicians vying for the seat. His primary opponent is Miguel Vargas.
Bronx residents from the Caribbean country want to see an improvement in the Dominican Republic?s economy, education and health care.
