A Mount Vernon company is helping other businesses prepare to reopen safely.
DGC Capital Contracting has been filling out thousands of orders for plexiglass sneeze guards.
The increased demand for the clear shields is coming from department stores, sports arenas, pharmacies and supermarkets as they work to keep customers and employees safe.
"When this all happened, many supermarkets changed what they were doing in their stores," says Vice President of DGC Capital Contraction Giancarlo Lanzano. "They started putting up plexiglass, which you'll notice all over Westchester and the tri-state area."
Lanzano says the partitions are likely going to be a permanent fixture in office and other commercial establishments.
