A Bronxville family held a blood drive at Rye Golf Club Wednesday in memory of their 14-year-old son who died last year.
John Duffy Jr., 14, died after a fall from an apartment window. His organs were used to save four other people.
One of those people was Tanith O'Brien, a childhood friend of the Duffy family.
"When I was younger, I used to take care of him. And now, we all say that he takes care of me," said O'Brien.
Russell Wong donated blood as a tribute to his father.
"He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in January…I know people had donated their blood to help my father, so in return, I'm donating my blood to help others," said Wong.
