A Bronx woman was among the breast cancer survivors treated to a day of pampering in Brooklyn.
The True Indian Hair Salon provided makeovers to Maria Acosta and two other women, who have all either battled or survived the disease before the age of 40.
The glam day included customized wigs and extensions for each of the women. Professional makeup artists, nail artists and a fashion consultant also helped finish off their new looks.
The salon says it will make the event an annual tradition during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
