An Elmsford brewery is partnering with Carvel Ice Cream to create a new kind of beer set to hit stores next week.

Captain Lawrence Brewing Company and Carvel will be releasing Cookie Puss Birthday Beer and Cookie O'Puss Pastry Stout to celebrate the ice cream mogul's 85th birthday and St. Patrick's Day.

Inspiration for the beer came from Carvel's character cake Cookie Puss, a space alien treat with cookies for eyes and ice cream cone nose.

The beverage is brewed with signature chocolate crunchies from Carvel.

Individuals can pre-order the beer for local pick up at the brewery.
