Brawl at New Rochelle rooming house claims life of tenant

A brawl at a rooming house in New Rochelle claimed the life of a man on New Year?s Eve. According to police, two men in the third-floor apartment of 89 Horton Avenue began fighting, possibly over money.

A brawl at a rooming house in New Rochelle claimed the life of a man on New Year?s Eve. According to police, two men in the third-floor apartment of 89 Horton Avenue began fighting, possibly over money. Police say 40-year-old Jeffrey Fisher repeatedly punched and kicked the victim, 48-year-old John Gaston, in the head and body. Gaston was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center where he later died of blunt trauma to his head and internal bleeding. Police say both men have records and both are suspected drug dealers. Fisher has been charged with manslaughter and was arraigned Tuesday.
