Dozens of local businesses shut down in Yonkers Monday due to "A Day Without Immigrants" boycott. As part of the boycott, hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants did not work, go to school or spend money. They were hoping to prove how valuable they are to the U.S. economy. So shop owners were forced to close their businesses, either for lack of workers or lack of customers. As a U.S. citizen, Yonkers resident Aureliano Loza decided not to go to work and support the cause, even though he knew he wouldn?t make any money. Related Information
