Boy hit in the face by fireworks in West Nyack

A young boy in West Nyack was injured after an accident involving fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Clarkstown police say the incident happened Wednesday night at a home on Demarest Mill Road.
Police say an 8-year-old was hit just below the eye while watching a neighbor's fireworks display that did not ignite properly.
The boy's injuries are not life-threatening.
A 47-year-old man from West Nyack is expected to face charges in the case.
