Bomb threat forces evacuation of Scarsdale High School

A bomb threat forced the evacuation of students and faculty at Scarsdale High School Thursday. There was a strong police presence outside the school as police and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the building.

A bomb threat forced the evacuation of students and faculty at Scarsdale High School Thursday.
There was a strong police presence outside the school as police and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the building. Authorities say an unidentified male called the state police from a cell phone at 9:20 a.m. saying there was possibly a bomb at the school. The county police bomb squad searched the entire school and found nothing suspicious.
According to officials, the high school has received many bomb threats in the past year and a half. On the same day a year ago, an e-mail was sent to the principal about a bomb threat. Police are investigating the origin of Thursday?s threat, which is a felony punishable by up to seven years in prison.
