The man who drowned in a Putnam County lake has been identified.
Police say Sydney Joseph, 46, of Brooklyn, drowned in Lake Oscawana in Putnam Valley Saturday afternoon.
They say Joseph jumped off a pontoon boat with a flotation device but never resurfaced.
His body was recovered Monday morning.
