Blue-blooded fans pack Westchester bars
Fans across the region packed sports bars to watch the New York Giants advance to the 2008 Super Bowl.
The Giants continued their road win streak with a 23-20 win over the Green Bay Packers. Fans like David Slife of Yonkers sat at the edge of their seats as the NFC Championship game went into sudden death overtime, but their allegiance never wavered.
"I bleed blue," Slife proudly professed.
The fans alongside Slife at the Sports Page bar had the benefit of warmth while spectators in Green Bay suffered through temperatures dipping below zero.
The Giants play the still undefeated New England Patriots Feb. 3 in Arizona. The Patriots continued their perfect record with a 21-12 win over the San Diego Chargers in the AFC Championship.
