Blessing of the Hudson River held

The Hudson River was honored on Earth Day today.
The celebration was part of the ninth annual Blessing of the River ceremony, sponsored by Groundwork Hudson Valley and The Beczak Environmental Education Center.
People gathered along the banks of the Hudson early in the morning for the special event. Local clergy members also took part in the ceremony.
The Annunciation Church Junior Choir from Yonkers sung praises to the majestic Hudson River.
