Piermont experienced low visibility on the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge around 4 p.m. Wednesday due to the heavy rain and strong winds.

Over on the Piermont Pier, there were times when the visibility was so poor that the bridge and all nearby coasts were nearly covered by the blanket of fog.

Cars kicked up quite a bit of water on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Dobbs Ferry.

Officials warned motorists to drive carefully and watch out for flooding and pockets of puddles.
