An icy patch on the road may be to blame for a fiery car crash Wednesday on Route 22 in Armonk. According to police, a woman driving southbound lost control of her car and slid across the double yellow line where she was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound.
North Castle police said the car traveling north burst into flames and the two men inside were rescued by motorists. Police say all three people were seriously injured, but injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
Route 22 between Kensico Dam and King Street was closed for several hours.
