A Bronx man returned to the classroom to work alongside the teacher who taught him more than two decades ago.
Kirby Liriano first walked through the doors at the Bronx Early Leaning Center as a shy 3-year-old with speech delays.
He's been working at the center, sponsored by Volunteers of America-Greater New York, for more than a year, teaching youngsters and giving back what he learned in the program.
On those rare occasions when Liriano needs advice in the classroom, he turns to Marisol Morales, who was his teacher his at the center.
Morales, who is now planning her retirement, says it's great to work side by side with one of her former students and see firsthand how far Liriano has come in his life and in the classroom.
