Bernie Sanders’ casual mittens look triggers bobblehead sales bonanza
Within just a week, the Bernie Sanders Inauguration Bobblehead is now the second best-selling bobblehead of all-time.
That’s according to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame.
The senator from Vermont says he was just trying to keep warm during the ceremony in mittens made by Jen Ellis, an elementary school teacher who personally gave them to Sanders.
His seated pose has become an internet sensation. Sen. Sanders even used the buzz to raise money for Meals on Wheels Vermont through the sale of sweatshirts. They sold out quickly.
The Bobblehead Hall of Fame followed suit, donating $10,000 to the same charity. So far, 18,000 Bernie bobbles have been sold. It is second only to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s bobblehead, which is approaching 50,000.
Orders are expected to ship in May.
