One person was hospitalized following a two-car accident on Sunday afternoon, according to Bedford police.
The incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Route 117 and Norm Avenue.
Police reported that a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee rear-ended a 2010 Chevy Express van. The Jeep ended up in the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts, resulting in a passenger being ejected.
The 24-year-old Bedford resident was transported to Westchester Medical Center with a head injury. No other injuries were reported.
While police were conducting their investigation, they encountered a Mount Kisco man who was not involved in the accident. Authorities say 52-year-old William Winstanley refused to leave the scene. He was subsequently charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration.
