A Bedford dominatrix who allegedly traded sex for money will not serve any prison time in a deal reached Monday in court.

Shortly after jury selection began, Sandra Chemero's attorney and the prosecutor reached a deal. Prostitution and weapons charges, for a stun gun, were reduced to a disorderly conduct violation.

In a written statement, Chemero said, "I am grateful to all of the people who believed in me and who stood by me, knowing I was not a criminal ? much less a prostitute. I have never, nor would I ever engage in any sexual activity for money."

Last year, Chemero, 46, was arrested for allegedly offering sex for $275 an hour to an undercover Bedford cop. The weapons charge came about after a stun gun was allegedly found in her home.

The defense argued that there was no forensic evidence that the gun was in working order and that she never offered money for sex.

Chemero, who ran her "Sovereign Estate" dominatrix business out of her Bedford Hills home, is not allowed to open any businesses in Bedford for a year. The deal also includes 30 hours of community service.
