Bay Ridge activists protest government military spending
A group of activists are protesting government military spending Tuesday.
The group 'Peace Action Bay Ridge' stood outside the post office in an effort to educate residents about where their tax dollars are going.
Organizers say the Trump administration has proposed increased military spending by 10 percent.
They say funding for health care services and environmental protection services have been cut from the budget.
Activist Robert Emerick says he wants people to realize the financial burden and human sacrifice of warfare.
