Forget Fido, Spot or Fluffy. Pet owners are getting more creative with pet names this year.
Nationwide Insurance, which provides coverage for pets, announced the winners of its eighth annual Wacky Pet Name contest.
The winner in the dog category was Baron Von Furry Pants while Artoo Dogtoo, Rosie Picklebottom and Parker the Barker were some of the runner-ups.
The cat category was topped by Leonardo DiCatprio with Fuzz Light-year, Captain Pancake and Cornelius McPudness Vandercat among those falling just short.
The insurance company chose 10 cat and 10 dog nominees from its database of more than 525,000 pets for the voting competition.
