The spirit of the holidays was on full display at Hope Community Services in New Rochelle.
A room at the facility that serves the poor and homeless was converted for one day only into a makeshift barbershop and boutique for men - who by their own accounts - are in the market for a little sprucing up.

New Rochelle barber Manny Lopez came up with the idea to help the homeless.
He convinced his fellow barbers from Danny's Barbershop to lend a helping hand.  Together, they wanted to find a way to use their gift of grooming to give a little TLC to people in need.

His generosity didn't end with a cut and shave. He also collected gently used clothes that he offered up and brought in a hot lunch from his favorite restaurant.

The executive director at Hope Community says it’s the little things that mean so much.
With the labor of love being received so well, Lopez is hoping to make this a yearly tradition.
