Ball opposes Obama's health care plan
Republican state Assemblyman Greg Ball and his supporters say they oppose President Obama's health care reform.
At a rally in Brewster on Monday, Ball said something must be done about the health care reform, but stated that he is against the president's plan. ?We need reform but that reform should be focused on cost-saving pragmatic solutions and that [will] embrace small business instead of penalizing them.?
President Obama spoke to the nation on Wednesday to promote the passage of a bill that includes the government overhauling the industry to establish a national health care plan.
The president says he is hoping to have a bill on his desk by Thanksgiving.
