Authorities announced Tuesday the arrest of alleged members of a Middletown gang who are believed to be responsible for a teen’s death last summer, as well as peddling a significant amount of drugs in the community.
Two members of the so-called “Coke Wave Boys” are facing murder charges after allegedly gunning down 19-year-old Coree White last summer on Wallkill Avenue.
Seventeen of their associates are also facing conspiracy to commit murder and drug trafficking charges in what police say was an extensive web of weapons, drugs and violence with a rival Middletown gang known as the “Guap Gang.”
That violence turned lethal last August when police say Coke Wave members got into a dispute with White, an alleged associate of the Guap Gang.
Meanwhile, authorities are still looking for Coke Wave's alleged ringleader, Traquane Dolson, and another alleged associate, Mason Milligan. Middletown police are asking anyone with information about their whereabouts to call them.
Authorities say the Coke Wave Boys primarily sold cocaine in the Linden Avenue area of Middletown.
