The attorney for the family of a New Rochelle man fatally shot by police is asking the Westchester D.A. to unseal the grand jury records in the case.
As News 12 has reported, 24-year-old Kamal Flowers was shot last June.
Police say when they pulled over a car, Flowers, who was a passenger, fled from the vehicle.
Authorities say Officer Alec McKenna was attempting to use his Taser when Flowers displayed a gun and was shot.
A grand jury did not hand down any indictment in the case.
And last week, the police department said an investigation revealed that officers did not violate policies or procedures in the shooting.
The D.A.'s office says it will consider all legal options available to them in this case.
