The school announced that Butler assistant Kevin Kuwik is the next leader of the Black Knights.
Originally from the Buffalo area, Kuwik graduated from Notre Dame's ROTC program and served 10 years in the military.
As an assistant coach at Ohio University, he took a leave of absence to serve in Iraq. He then came back to the bench and helped Ohio win a conference title.
