The death of military service member Vanessa Guillen is leading officials to hone in on climate and culture at Fort Hood.
News 12 is told the panel will look at “command climate and culture at Fort Hood” to determine whether or not it reflects Army values.
Twenty-year-old Westchester native Vanessa Guillen was found bludgeoned to death in June outside of Fort Hood.
Guillen’s chain of command is accused of mishandling her disappearance and allegedly bypassing reports of sexual harassment.
Sources say President Donald Trump hosted Guillen’s mother Thursday in the Oval Office and offered to pay for her funeral.
Trump also mentioned that he would expedite the slain soldier’s remains.
