The New York Archdiocese confirmed that a pastor at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale has been reassigned.
Father Robert Verrigni, known as Father Bob, was under scrutiny for what some parishioners called his erratic behavior. Many believe Father Bob drove staff members away. After the suspension of the school principal in November, the parish has been plagued with infighting.
Verrigni was transferred to St. Patrick?s Cathedral in Manhattan where he will be the master of ceremonies. Monsignor John Ferry will replace Verrigni at Immaculate Heart.
