A talented young girl from Rockland County is now receiving a new honor.
Grace VanderWaal has been presented with the New York State Senate Women of Distinction honor.
The 15-year-old from Suffern won "America's Got Talent" back in 2016 and used part of her $1 million winnings to fund the "Little Miracles Show Choir."
Sen. David Carlucci (D) nominated VanderWaal after working with her on the program, which helps students in the East Ramapo Central School District to explore their musical talents.
