A woman was killed after her vehicle collided with a utility pole in Valhalla this morning, cutting power to some residents in the area.
It happened just after 4 a.m. Friday on Columbus Avenue at Locust Street. News 12 is told that the female driver was trapped in her vehicle and died at the scene.
Police have identified the driver as 40-year-old Alexandra Turcsanyi, a home health care aide from White Plains.
Con Edison crews worked through the morning to replace the damaged utility pole and restore power to affected customers.
Investigators say it would could take several weeks to determine if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
