The impending nor'easter could impact air travel in Westchester and the Hudson Valley, and some airlines are already taking steps to alleviate any potential effects.
During last week’s storm, Westchester County Airport canceled dozens of flights, and 88 percent of flights were canceled at Stewart International Airport in Orange County.
While the region isn't expected to see as much snow or high winds this time around, several airlines are anticipating delays and cancellations and are waiving fees so passengers can reschedule their flights.
The storm is expected to impact air travel Tuesday into Wednesday. American, Delta and United airlines are waiving change fees for flights on those days. Delta is requiring flyers pay the difference in the new ticket price.
Some passengers have already taken advantage of the offer by moving their flight a day earlier than planned.
"I think it was a good choice because if we didn't do it we would be backed up a couple of days and that would have ruined our spring break," says a student from Eastern Connecticut State University.
Travelers need to rebook their flights for dates between now and Saturday, and destinations can't be changed. Passengers can make the changes at their airline's website.
