An afternoon march through White Plains brought out hundreds of protesters Monday.
Protesters say the messages they want to send are a desire to reform the criminal justice system and to live in a society that treats all people the same way.
Some protesters said the social movement is personal.  Others were marching for George Floyd and for criminal justice reform. Some were calling to defund the police - the movement that wants to take funding from the police department and put it into other social programs.
The protesters in downtown White Plains wanted to stress that it was peaceful event and said that they were drawn to the march because they wanted to have their voices heard and see change.
