A newly established church in downtown Yonkers is hosting its annual Easter Sunday block party.

Acts Church, founded two years ago, rolled out the welcome mat to the entire community.

“Jesus is alive. We want Yonkers and Getty Square to feel that,” said Pastor Kevin Middleton. “We’re giving free food. We want the kids and community to know Jesus is alive.”

While the event has become a crowd favorite for its fellowship, good vibes, music and food, it’s all part of the church’s effort to positively promote Getty Square while bringing everybody together.
