Actor defensive over reaction to new movie
The movie actor who spent eight years in prison and is now set to work again is on the defensive Friday over calls for people to boycott his movie.
Lillo Brancato, who's known for his role in "A Bronx Tale," served time in prison for burglary in connection with the murder of NYPD Officer Daniel Enchautegui in 2005. Brancato was released in 2013 and is set to star in his first movie since his release.
However, local police departments are in an uproar and are calling for people to boycott the movie. Enchautegui's partner Detective Robert Korn told News 12 his partner didn't get a second chance so why should Brancato.
Brancato says he served his time and vows he is a changed man. He earned a business management degree and is living a drug-free life on parole. Brancato says, "I've done all the right things. I've used my experience and sobriety to help others and deter them to going down that same path."
