Former Stony Point Supervisor Doug Jobson Sr. died Tuesday after a long battle with cancer.
Local officials shared the news on Facebook. 
Jobson also formerly served as Rockland highway superintendent.
Rockland County Executive Ed Day issued a statement saying, “It has been a pleasure to have known Doug for all of these years as both a colleague and a personal friend.”
Colin Schmitt said Jobson was, “a true gentleman and highly regarded” during his decades-long career.
Funeral arrangements are unknown at this time.
