Nine students at the Rockland BOCES' Jesse J. Kaplan School celebrated a major accomplishment with their graduation Friday.
Kaplan provides programs and services to children with various types of developmental disabilities. It helps them develop communication, social and academic skills. The goal is to help them be as independent as possible.
While graduation is a big achievement for the students, it's also a big deal for parents as they seek the best future for their children.
In the meantime, Gianluca DiMuccio will officially take over as the school's new principal July 1.
