Two Scarsdale children were inspired to give back to their local heroes who have put out fires across New York City.
Twins Joshua and Rebecca Polevoy, 8, created bags of snacks for members of the FDNY. They say that they wanted to find a way help after firefighters in the Bronx battled flames at a high-rise that left 17 people, including 8 children, dead.
The snacks and paper bags were purchased with money raised through donations. The goodies will be shared among four fire stations in New York City.
The children say they're inspired by the Bake Back America Foundation, which provides meals for first responders and essential workers.
The duo says they'll soon be making Valentine's Day bracelets for nurses and hospitalized children in New York.
