Big repairs are being done to the building which is home to the Clarkstown Police Department and Courthouse.
Crews are replacing the decades-old roof that was riddled with cracks and holes and had constant leaks.
Thanks to more than $600,000 in state and town funding, they are now able to replace it. "It's super important to make sure our workers are well taken care of with a safe place to work, but this building needs to be safe and secure because it is the nerve center for all the emergency response for [the] town of Clarkstown," says Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann.
The roof should be fully repaired by the end of the month.
