A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man seen attacking a Jewish man on video in Crown Heights, officials say.
Menachem Moskowitz says he is continuing to recover from his injuries after he was attacked Saturday while walking home from synagogue on Rutland Road and Schenectady Avenue.
Moskowitz says he said hello to a man before the man began yelling at him that he hated Jews.
In the video, the suspect is seen chasing him down and attacking Moskowitz.  The man allegedly called him a fake Jew and told him "they stole his money."
Moskowitz says he tried to walk away, but the man threw him up against a fence, punched him and choked him while threatening to kill him.
The attack left him with a black eye, severe bruising and a broken rib. He says he doesn't understand what set off the assailant.
Newly released surveillance video shows the man police say attacked him.
The suspect is described as being around 40 years old, around 6'5'' tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He appears to have a beard and was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.
Just last week, police say another Orthodox Jewish man was attacked near 770 Eastern Parkway.
However, investigators say it's not clear if the two cases are connected.
