Sunshine returns as storm leaves the region
The fourth nor'easter in the past month has finally left the Hudson Valley.
News 12 meteorologists say while snow fell for over 24 hours, Orange, Rockland and Putnam counties saw less snow than originally anticipated due to the dry air. Parts of Westchester, especially the southern areas, saw a good amount, including 10.5 inches recorded in White Plains.
Today is expected to be partly sunny skies with highs around 42 degrees. Lows tonight will be in the high 20s so significant refreezing of melted snow could happen on roadways resulting in black ice.
Friday's forecast includes mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain or snow showers. The temperature will be 43 degrees. There may also be some scattered flurries on Sunday.
