More than $300,000 was raised for premature babies in White Plains this weekend.
The annual March for Babies was a 3.6-mile walk that started at the Saxon Woods pool on Mamaroneck Avenue.
Organizers say money raised goes to helping moms during every stage from preconception to post-delivery with research, programs and education. "Mom's health, babies’ health, it’s all connected. And the March of Dimes is working so hard to continue to promote healthy moms and strong babies," says mission ambassador Jenna Cipolla.
The Centers for Disease Control says about one out of every 10 babies was born prematurely in 2016.
