COVID-19 is taking its toll at Maryknoll in Ossining, as the religious community is mourning the loss of missioners due to the virus.
Three Maryknoll sisters have died due to the coronavirus. Another 30 sisters have tested positive, as well as 10 staff members.
According to Catholic News Service, nine priests have also died, but only one of those members had a confirmed case of the virus. The others had symptoms, but not all were tested or received results. Another 24 members tested positive.

News 12 spoke with Maryknoll Sisters Congregation President Sister Antoinette Gutzler, who says they're seeing a lot of support from the community for the sisters during this difficult time.
The sisters have been, and are currently practicing social distancing including having their meals delivered directly to their room to avoid contact with one another.
