3-alarm fire erupts at Yonkers home
A three-alarm fire erupted at a Yonkers home Monday, sending the residents inside running for safety and destroying the structure.
The fire broke out just before 4 p.m. on Landscape Place.
Firefighters say they had a hard time finding the home because it is located behind another home, and does not sit directly on the street.
The eight adults who were in the home at the time of the fire all got out safely. Three dogs were rescued from the home, one of which was resuscitated by firefighters.
News 12 is told that about six firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling the flames.
The Red Cross is helping the displaced residents find shelter.
There is no word on what sparked the fire.
