Firefighters fought a two-alarm blaze that erupted at a home in Mount Vernon Sunday.
The fire broke out on the 300 block of South 10th Avenue. The building has collapsed
Neighbors told News 12 they heard fire trucks around 7 a.m. and saw smoke rising from the house.
An EMS official says they don't believe anyone was in the home at the time the fire started.
Officials tell News 12 the fire was contained after about two hours, but it did spread to the house next door.
