Two people were wounded in separate shootings over the holiday weekend in Yonkers.Officials say the latest shooting took place at around 12:10 a.m. Monday on Riverdale Avenue. According to officials, a person with a handgun shot a man in the back. The suspect was later apprehended near the Shop Rite on Prospect Avenue.Police are still looking for the person who shot a man outside his apartment building on Hamilton Avenue Friday. Will Branch, 38, was shot in his chest and is being treated at Jacobi Medical Center. Branch's friends tell News 12 Westchester that they can't understand why anyone would want to shoot him. They say Branch is a helpful person that tried to stay out of trouble. Police say they are reviewing surveillance video from the apartment building.
