2 teens stabbed in Yonkers park brawl
Police say two teens were stabbed during a melee at a park involving about a dozen kids from a Yonkers school for troubled teens.
Officials at the Leake and Watts Children?s Home say the fight, which erupted after 2 p.m. at Faye Park, had to do with a stolen computer. They say there was a fight about the computer early Wednesday morning. A school spokesman says the victim of the theft went to retaliate and that?s when the fight started.
Detectives are questioning as many as nine students, some of them are witnesses. There has been no word as to whether any of those being questioned are considered suspects.
One teen was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center with three stab wounds, while another was taken to St. Joseph?s Hospital with one stab wound. Both victims are expected to be released form the hospital shortly.
A spokesman for Leake and Watts told News 12 Westchester he is saddened by the incident.
It is unknown whether Yonkers police have made any arrests in the case.
