Two Mount Pleasant police officers were dragged by a car during an illegal street race last weekend.
Investigators say Officer Luke Oliveri and Sgt. Michael McGuinn stopped a suspected racer on Route 117, near Route 9 in Mount Pleasant, just after midnight Saturday.
The suspect allegedly sped off, dragging the officers pinned underneath nearly 50 feet. Both officers were treated for cuts and scrapes and released from the hospital.
Their attacker is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 30s, with a bald head and weighing about 300 pounds.
