Westchester County will be opening the pools at Willson’s Woods Park in Mount Vernon and Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers on Friday, ahead of the July Fourth holiday weekend.
They join the Saxon Woods pool in White Plains and the Sprain Ridge pool in Yonkers, which opened on June 26.
There will be modifications, however, to ensure guests’ safety amid the coronavirus pandemic that is still raging in parts of the nation.
Modifications include:
  • No Aqua Playground at Saxon Woods Pool.
  • No Aqua Splash Pad at Sprain Ridge Pool
  • No Waves in the Wave Pool or Aqua Playground/Splash Pad at Willson's Woods Pool
  • No Lazy River Tubes, Aqua Playground, Water Slides or Basketball Court at Tibbetts Brook Park Pool.
To further ensure safety, the pools will follow New York state and Westchester County Department of Health regulations of 50% maximum occupancy.

There will be two “first come first served” public sessions – one from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the second from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Masks will be required when social distancing is not possible.
"It's common sense,” said County Executive Latimer. “Things that we kind of know we should be doing. We just have to remember to do it diligently."
