Two buildings were destroyed Monday in an early morning fire in Poughkeepsie.
Chief Mark Johnson tells News 12 that multiple departments responded to Mill Street around 3:30 a.m.
Fire officials say the flames eventually spread to the building next door. They say a firefighter fell halfway through a floor but didn't suffer any injuries.
Officials believe the fire may have started on the second floor of one of the buildings but have not released a cause yet.
