Fifteen Marist College students have been suspended after an off-campus party allegedly failed to follow social-distancing guidelines, News 12 has learned.
Marist President Dennis Murray sent an email reiterating the institution's zero tolerance policy when it comes to health and safety in the fight against COVID-19. The email reads, in part, "...If this trend continues, we'll have no choice but to completely close the campus and require students to finish the semester online."
The administration says they're willing to proceed with more suspensions and even dismissal from the college for students who don't follow the health and safety rules.
Several other schools, including Syracuse University, are cracking down on students who break COVID-19 safety protocols.
