One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting Friday night in Mount Vernon.
The shooting happened near Second Avenue and Second Street and was gang-related, according to a Mount Vernon city councilman.
The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
The deceased man has not yet been identified.
Some neighbors say they are concerned that violence is spilling over onto a block that is usually quiet.
